Dear Guild members and friends of natural perfume,

I founded the Guild in 2002 as a labor of love to expand upon the artistry put forth in my book Essence and Alchemy and subsequently taken up by hundreds of natural perfumers worldwide. I wanted to create a community of natural perfumers and bring attention to the growing field of natural perfumery. Alas, I was a bit too early, and I found that I needed to focus my attention on my writing, teaching and perfume business.

Now, in 2006, is the perfect time to re-launch the Guild and Anya is the perfect person to do it with her commitment to natural perfume and building community. Natural perfume has been steadily growing and Anya has provided an invaluable resource with her discussion group on Yahoo. I am excited to watch the Guild grow and fulfill my original dreams for it. I have given the Guild to Anya and I will continue my involvement with it as advisor.
